My name is Thomas B. Christiano, and I am a consumer protection lawyer in Northern Virginia. I have practiced consumer protection law for over ten years, and I have litigated cases involving federal statutes like the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth In Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, as well Virginia state court causes of action like personal injury, breach of contract, fraud, and the Virginia Consumer Protection Act.
I attended the University of Virginia from 1989 to 1993 and graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences with a major in Economics. I attended William & Mary Law School and received my J.D. in 1999. After graduation, I passed the Virginia Bar examination and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Virginia. I have specialized in litigation since beginning my practice of law, and I have significant experience practicing in the federal court in the Eastern District of Virginia on the “Rocket Docket” where I have been a member of the bar of that court since 1999. I also have appellate experience before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and I have been identified as “on brief” for approximately five published decisions of that court involving consumer protection statutes.
In my free time, I am an avid fan of the Washington Capitals, and I have been a season ticket holder since 1999. I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful children who keep me busy when I am not practicing law or watching hockey.
